Emergency Alert Overview

All Clear: 7:50 p.m. Police have determined there is no threat to the community. Buildings are open. All clear.

Update #2: 4:50 p.m. Preliminary reports indicate popping balloons may have been the source of reports of gunfire. At this time there does not appear to be an active threat to the community. DPSS continues to investigate. Continue to stay clear of area.

Update #1: 4:45 p.m. Unconfirmed reports of an active shooter, officers are checking the area. Stay away from the area of Mason Hall.

UM-Ann Arbor EAlert: 4:40 p.m. Unconfirmed reports of an active shooter in Mason Hall on Central Campus. Run if you can. Hide if you can’t. Fight if you must. More info. at dpss.umich.edu.
